A free daily reading game: a new original short story every day and five challenges to check how well you understood it. The next day, the ending and the solutions are published.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is completely free, with no adverts and no sign-up. Your progress is saved only in your browser.
What do the underlined words do?
Tap a word or expression underlined with dots and Borrón shows you its meaning in Spanish. In the Spanish edition, the words are translated into English, so it works for learners of both languages.
How long does it take?
Between 5 and 15 minutes a day: a few minutes to read and the rest for the five challenges.
Can I play past stories?
Yes. Every story stays in the archive. Past stories count towards your stats but not your streak.
Can I use it in class?
Yes, and every past story has a printable worksheet with an answer key. See For teachers.
Is there a Spanish version?
Yes: hilandolineas.es is the Spanish edition, with its own stories every day.
